Information

- Computer Information
- Research
Consent Form
(when you become a member of the ILF, you also agree to be part
of a research study on building online communities of practice)
Why
so much?
Two reasons, really.
- A major component of the Internet
Learning Forum is a research project about building online communities of practice.
Getting a clear understanding of who the users are and basic demographic information
about each is extremely helpful in establishing baseline data for the research
aspect of the project.
- Future versions of the site will include spaces
customized around users' expressed interests. Knowing specific interest areas
will help us to revise and grow the ILF to better suit your needs.
How
long will it take?
We estimate it will take you approximately 10 minutes
to finish the entire registration form. After your registration form has been
submitted, it will take us approximately 24 hours to process your registration.
Because students (minors) appear in the videos of classroom teaching, we must
be diligent in making sure that those with access to the site have a legitimate
reason for being there. Usually, this requires verifying your teaching status
in some way. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when your registration has
been approved and your account has been activated.
