Instructions for Sending the ILF a Class Roster

The following instructions will assist you in sending us an electronic copy of your roster. This will eliminate the need for each of your students to register for the ILF. If you are using an Inquiry Circle (a group collaboration feature of the ILF), sending us a roster will also allow us to add your students to your Inquiry Circle and add a "bookmark" for them so they can find it easily. This can all be done automatically once you have sent us your roster.

IMPORTANT: It is against University Policy to send Student Identification numbers via email. Please follow these instructions closely to protect the privacy of your students.

 

1) Open a web browser an go to the following URL: http://rosters.indiana.edu
2) Type your Indiana University Network ID
3) Choose the semester of the roster you wish to obtain
4) Select the campus in which the class is held
5) Click on the "Get My Sections" button to continue

 
 
6) Select a Class Section
7) Enter your IU Network Password
8) Select "Custom (select fields below)" from the pull down menu
9) Select "Blank" from the pull down menu for "Field 1"
10) Select "END" from the pull down menu for "Field 8"
11) Click on the "Get My Roster" button
12) When the roster appears, select all of the text. This can be done by using your mouse to click-and-drag all of the text or you may choose EDIT then SELECT ALL from your web browser menu.
13) Paste the text in an email message and send it to ilf@indiana.edu .
