The ILF is a continuously growing community of teachers, so there are
many different opportunities available to you. Below are some of the ways
in which you can participate in the ILF!
- Engage in online discussions
- Some of the discussions that you can participate in are:
- Inquiry & Meeting Science Standards
- Inquiry & Meeting Math Standards
- Inquiry and Assessment
- Using Educational Technology
- Visit ILF Classrooms
- You can virtually visit teachers' classrooms from around the state ranging
from elementary classrooms to advanced high school science and math
classes.
- Become part of an Inquiry Circle
- Inquiry Circles are groups of teachers that have come together
to share, reflect upon, discuss, and improve their teaching. Each
group has a particular focus and many are open to new members.
- Facilitate a discussion
- If you are interested in a topic you can start up a discussion
about that topic. For example, Drew Frey is facilitating a discussion
on "Useless Math?"
- Personalize your professional development through ILF involvement
- Take a peak through the ILF Inquiry Lab to extend your knowledge
of inquiry and participate in a variety of professional development activities.
- Obtain college course credit for courses offered through the ILF
- Need some course credit. The ILF offers courses that help you
explore and critically examine inquiry and how to implement inquiry
in your classroom
